Project Title: Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding
Amount Awarded: $146,891.00 Match Required: $0
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program (CESF) provides funding to assist eligible states, local units of government, and tribes in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the coronavirus. The CESF program is a formula-based grant program from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The Town of Cutler Bay (the "Town) is eligible for a maximum of $146,891.00.
On July 16, 2020, the Town submitted a grant application to reimburse the Town for the Police Department Coronavirus Task Force's overtime hours and install temperature screening equipment at Town facilities to prevent the coronavirus spread. The Town requested the maximum allowed allocation. On November 6, 2020, the FDLE informed the Town that its application was approved. The Town Manager accepted the grant award immediately to avoid delays in the contract award process.
