BACKGROUND

On March 7, 2017, the Town of Cutler Bay ( "Town") submitted a grant proposal to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice ("FDJJ") to fund the Afterschool and Summer Program ("Program") at Cutler Ridge Park pursuant to Contract No. 10543 between FDJJ and the Town. The Town was awarded $61,500.00 beginning on August 1, 2017, and the funding was renewed each year for three (3) years at the same funding level, expiring on July 30, 2020.

On March 30, 2020, the FDJJ notified the Town of its intent to continue funding the Program by entering into the FDJJ Third Contract Amendment for the Town ("Third Amendment"). The Third Amendment provides grant funding of $61,500.00 for an additional three (3) years, for a total of $184,500.00. Funding is contingent upon the program's satisfactory performance and funding availability.
