A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM CUTLER PROPERTIES, LC, CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 8.45 ACRES, AND LOCATED AT 18551 OLD CUTLER ROAD; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
As discussed during the Town Council Workshop on February 26, 2020, the Town Council received a briefing from both the Town Attorney and Manager regarding the possible acquisition of vacant land from Cutler Properties, LC (Attachment “A”). The property is located at 18551 Old Cutler Road and consists of +/- 8.45 acres, adjacent to the South Florida Water Management Conservation wetlands.
For the past several months, the Town Attorney and Manager have been actively negotiating with the representatives from Cutler Properties, LC. As a result from our negotiations, Cutler Properties, LC has agreed to the Terns and Conditions, which are outlined in the Letter of Intent (LOI) dated March 11, 2020 (Attachment “B”).
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council adopt the attached Resolution, approving the LOI and authorizing the Town Manager to execute the LOI dated March 11, 2020.
