A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING WORKFORCE HOUSING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS PURSUANT TO MIAMI-DADE COUNTY CODE SECTION 33-193.7; PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
On December 20, 2016, Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance requiring incorporated municipalities within its jurisdiction to address the need for workforce housing. This resolution supports that the need for affordable and workforce housing in the Town is being addressed. The Town supports the need for workforce housing.
Many properties throughout the Town are within the rent and sale limits of workforce housing and the Town supports and promotes access to affordable and workforce housing. The Town’s Comprehensive Plan’s goals, objectives, and policies address affordable and workforce housing. Zoning districts in the Town permit multi-family housing along the transit corridor which supports the need for affordable and workforce housing.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council adopt the attached Resolution.
