BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
In April 2012, the Town of Cutler Bay Town Council adopted Resolution No. 12-21 approving an Interlocal Agreement with the Miami-Dade County Public School (“MDCPS”) Board for purposing of establishing additional education choices within the Town. The Town desires to express its support of MDCPS 2018 State of Florida Legislative Program.
The Miami-Dade County Public School Board has approved a state legislative program,
Base Student Allocation (BSA), ensure that the District Cost Differential takes into account cost differences integral to educational institutions' operations, mitigate any impact from rollback of the Required Local Millage (RLE) on school district revenues, allow school districts to allocate Title I funds in accordance with federal law and others as described in Exhibit "A" attached to the resolution.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council approve the attached Resolution supporting the Miami-Dade County Public School’s 2018 State of Florida Legislative Program.
