BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
Mr. Ernest Lent resigned as the at-large member of the Parks and Recreation Committee. The Town Clerk’s Office advertised, the Town’s website in accordance with the ordinance, for residents interested in becoming a member of the Committee to apply. Mr. David Biegen, a resident of the Town of Cutler Bay for 27 years expressed interest in becoming a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee. The Town Clerk’s Office distributed Mr. Beigen’s letter of interest and resume to the Town Council.
Council Member Callahan was a previous member of the Parks and Recreation Committee. When Member Callahan was elected to the Town Council, his seat on the Parks and Recreation Committee became vacant. Council Member Callahan is proposing the appointment of Mr. Mark Salemi. Mr. Salemi’s resume has been distributed to the Town Council via email from the Town Clerk. The list of current committee members is attached to the Resolution as “Exhibit A”.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council adopt the Resolution appointing Mr. David Biegen and Mr. Mark Salemi as members of the Parks and Recreation Committee.
