BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
In April 2012, the Town of Cutler Bay Town Council adopted Resolution No. 12-21 approving an Interlocal Agreement with the Miami-Dade County Public School (“MDCPS”) Board for purposing of establishing additional education choices within the Town. The Town desires to express its support of MDCPS 2017 State of Florida Legislative Program.
The Miami-Dade County Public School Board has approved a state legislative program, encouraging the Florida legislature to fund several key measures related to public schools in the district and the state legislative program addresses key measures such as student safety and wellness, facilities, virtual education, and teacher shortages.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council approve the attached Resolution supporting the Miami-Dade County Public School’s 2017 State of Florida Legislative Program.
