BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS

 

The Town Council via Ordinance 15-06 establishing the qualifying period for the November 4, 2014 Town of Cutler Bay General Election was adopted by the Town Council on second reading on August 19, 2015.  The ordinance set July 26, 2016 through August 12, 2016 as the qualifying period for the Town of Cutler Bay General Election.

 

At the end of the qualifying period, there were two (2) candidates for the office of Vice Mayor and two (2) candidates for the office of Council Member Seat 2.

 

The General Election was held on November 8, 2016.  The official election results have been certified by Miami-Dade County Elections and attached to the Resolution as “Exhibit A”.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Town Council declare that the official results are hereby certified.
