BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
At the October 16, 2013 Town Council meeting, authorization was given to award Delaware Elevator of Florida, Inc. via Resolution Number 13-76 (Attachment “A”), an agreement consistent with their proposal for Elevator Modernization and Maintenance Services for the Town Center Building. Subsequent to the Town Council’s approval, the Town Attorney’s office informed me that there was an “irregularity” during the award process which does not comply with the Town’s Purchasing Ordinance Number 06-22.
Based on my review of the facts, I am recommending that the Town Council rescind Resolution Number 13-76 and authorize the Town Manager to re-advertise and issue the Elevator Modernization and Maintenance Services for the Town Center Building.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council approve the attached resolution authorizing the Town Manager to rescind and reauthorize the Elevator Modernization and Maintenance Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Town Center.
