A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST AND CALLING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LUDLAM TRAIL AS A LINEAR PARK; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
Recently, the Village Council of the Village of Pinecrest adopted Resolution No. 2014-61 supporting the development of the Ludlam Trail Linear Park, as outlined in the 2011 Miami-Dade County's Trail Design Guidelines and Standards - Ludlam Trail Case Study. During several of our Transportation Master Plan public input meetings, residents expressed their desire for additional shared-use paths throughout the Town. Although the proposed Ludlam Trail is not located within our Town, many of our residents will benefit from the development of the approximately six (6) mile Linear Park, stretching from Miami International Airport to the Dadeland North Metro-Rail Station.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council join in supporting the development of the Ludlam Trail Linear Park.
