A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE 2015 LEGISLATIVE BUDGET REQUESTS, APPROVING THE TOWN'S LIST OF LEGISLATIVE ITEMS, AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO PRESENT THE APPROVED LIST TO THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2015 LEGISLATIVE SESSION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
The Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation will be conducting its annual Intergovernmental Summit to provide municipalities with an opportunity to present their legislative funding requests prior to the upcoming 2015 State of Florida Legislative Session. The Town Council on January 7, 2015, conducted a Town Council Workshop to discuss the 2015 State of Florida legislative items and budget requests with both the Town Manager and Town Lobbyist.
We have attached the 2015 Legislative Items and Budget Requests for the items that the Town will be seeking funding for during the 2015 Legislative Session. The budget requests are as follows:
· 2015-01 - Point Royale Section 5 Drainage Sub-Basin
· 2015-02 - Saga Bay 1.2 Sub-Basin
· 2015-03 - Canal Bank Erosion Protection Project
· 2015-04 - Canoe/Kayak Launch
· 2015-05 - Cutler Bay wetland Observation Pavilion (SW 97th Avenue)
· 2015-06 - Town Center District Small Business Incubator
· 2015-07 - US-1 Corridor Economic Development Plan
· 2015-08 - Cutler Bay Town Hall/EOC Hardening Project
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the attached Resolution be adopted.
