A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, CERTIFYING AND DECLARING THE OFFICIAL RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION OF THE TOWN HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2014; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
The Town Council via Ordinance 13-09 establishing the qualifying period for the November 4, 2014 Town of Cutler Bay General Election was adopted by the Town Council on second reading on August 21, 2013. The ordinance set July 25, 2014 through August 8, 2014 as the qualifying period for the Town of Cutler Bay General Election.
At the end of the qualifying period, there were two candidates for the office of Mayor and two candidates for the office of Council Member Seat 1. There was one candidate for the Office of Council Member Seat 3, Roger Coriat who, without competition is declared elected.
The General Election was held on November 4, 2014. The official election results have been certified by Miami-Dade County Elections and are attached as Exhibit A.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Town Council declare that the official results are hereby certified.
