A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PARKS LANDSCAPE/GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH VALLEYCREST LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL WORK WITHIN TOWN PARKS FOR AN ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $25,920; AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
On March 20, 2013, via Resolution number 13-25, the Town Council approved a Comprehensive Parks Landscape/Grounds Maintenance Agreement with ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Inc. (the "Contractor"), for services outlined in Request for Proposal (RFQ) number 13-01. The Contractor continues to provide outstanding park maintenance services at all of the Town parks.
With the completion of the acquisition of the Linear Park in the Lakes by-the-bay Community in October 2013, the Town accepted the responsibility for the maintenance of the Linear Park. In anticipation of the acquisition, the Parks and Recreation Department included funding in the 2013-14 fiscal year budget in order to provide for the maintenance of the linear park.
Town staff has determined that it is in the best interest of the Town to "amend" the original Parks Landscape/Grounds Maintenance Agreement with ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Inc. for an annual amount of $25,920.00 for the maintenance of the Linear Park, with the same terms and conditions as defined in RFQ #13-01.
RECOMMENDATION
